Our Artful Healing team had the joy of hosting a vibrant Easter-themed art session at Gemstone Senior Living, led by Celeste Palacio, President and Founder of Artful Healing, and Maria Villarreal, co-leader of the Artful Healing chapter at Antonian College Preparatory. Fourteen student volunteers joined together to create a colorful and meaningful afternoon for around 20 residents.

The activity focused on painting rainbows and a pot of gold using paint, glitter, stickers, and lots of creativity. It was a fun St. Patricks themed session! Residents dove into the spirit of the season with their own unique designs, and the room was filled with conversation, laughter, and colorful expression.

More than just an art session, it was an opportunity to learn from our seniors—their stories, their humor, and their perspectives made the experience even more powerful. The interaction between students and residents created a warm, welcoming environment where connection and creativity thrived.

It was a beautiful afternoon that reminded us how art can bring generations together, brighten lives, and create lasting memories. In every art and music session we host in Gemstone, the smiles and laughter we get in return is unforgettable! We can’t wait to return soon!
